EL IAB PARTICIPA EN EL DIA MUNDIAL DE LA PAZ, SIENDO YA PARTE DE AMIGOS DE LAS NACIONES UNIDAS.
Here at IAB, we believe that it is very important to celebrate and promote peace. Established by a United Nations resolution in 1981, the International Day of Peace was first celebrated on September 21, 1982. On Thursday, September 21, 2006, the IAB will celebrate the International Day of Peace with a special assembly at 8 am. Parents are cordially invited to attend. We will start off with a minute of silence for peace, together with millions of students around the world. We will then present our Peace Quilt. Finally, following some presentations in English and in Spanish, we will proudly introduce our “Garden Project.” This project is being introduced as part of our Environmental Education Program, in which each class will be responsible for the care of a section of the patio. In celebration of the International Day of Peace, each group will decorate their section with messages of peace.

Aquí en el IAB, creemos que es muy importante celebrar y promover la paz. Establecido por una resolución de las Naciones Unidas en 1981, el día internacional de la paz primero fue celebrado el 21 de septiembre de 1982. El jueves, 21 de septiembre del 2006, el IAB celebrará el día internacional de la paz con una asamblea especial a las 8:00 am. Se invita a los padres cordialmente que asistan, comenzaremos con un minuto de silencio por la paz, junto con millones de estudiantes alrededor del mundo. Despues presentaremos nuestra cobija de la paz. Finalmente, siguiendo algunas presentaciones en inglés y en español, introduciremos orgulloso nuestro "Proyecto del Jardín." Este proyecto se está introduciendo como parte de nuestro programa del medio ambiente, en el cual cada clase será responsable del cuidado de una sección del patio. En la celebración del día internacional de la paz, cada grupo adornará su sección con mensajes de la paz.
