Our school counts on this department as a tool to facilitate the intellectual, emotional, and social development of our students as well as to orient our teachers and parents in a brief, direct and effective manner.

The functions are the following:

1. Inform the student, school staff, and parents about the elaboration of informational documents and scheduling of workshops for parents, teachers, and students.

2. Prevent academic and/or behavioral imbalances for the student by communicating with the student, parents, and teachers.

3. Evaluate students in the areas of academics, emotions, and personality.

4. Diagnose and guide based on necessity.

5. Schedule meetings with parents and teachers.

6. Follow up with parents, teachers, and students.

It is necessary that the parents are aware that education needs to be an integral process in order to be successful, which requires a commitment between the school, teachers, parents, and students. The main objective of the department is to maintain the student's biological, psychological, and social health, especially in special cases that may require more in-depth analysis and the help of specialists.

If this department determines that your child needs this type of attention the school may require that you provide the following:

•  At-home academic tutoring

•  Evaluation by a specialist (medical, neurological, psychiatric, psychological, etc.)

•  Individual or family therapy

•  Turn in reports, recommendations, and evaluations from specialists

•  Attend required meetings with teachers and this department

The objective of this department is to wake up the emotional awareness and creativity within the child and contribute to their integral development. These are broad topics and the integral education of children begins at home. However, there are many books and courses that exist which provide exercises and dynamics that focus on the healthy development of the emotional intelligence and creativity in our students. Our department is based on these theories and our teachers and counselors use them as well. The following areas of development are the goals of our staff and counselors and we seek to put integral education within the reach of all students. To achieve these goals, we need your help.

•  Student awareness of their emotions and feelings.

•  Security in themselves.

•  Self-sufficiency.

•  Positive view of life (Optimism).

•  Empathy and understanding of others.

•  Tolerance.

•  Creativity, connecting to the right hemisphere of the brain.

During the course of the school year, there will be lectures and workshops about human development. Information will be posted on the school calendar as well as through circulars.

Our department needs parents to work as a team with the school and to get involved in the healthy development of their children in these precious stages of their lives.
